SephoraInJCP Color IQ

Last week I went to Sephora inside JCPenney to get my foundation matched. I’ve never done it before so I was really excited to try their Color IQ technology and now I’m going to tell you all about it!

It’s a beauty device that scans the surface of your skin and then assigns you a Color IQ number. This number can match you with the perfect shades for your foundation, concealer and lip colors at Sephora.

My Sephora inside JCPenney Education Manager took 3 different photos with the Color IQ device, one of my neck, chest and face, so that we could make sure the foundation matched my body too.  Then, in just a couple of seconds, the Color IQ device gave me my IQ number.
With that number, we typed it into Sephora’s huge data base and got all my perfect shades.
The cool thing is that in the data base you can filter down with all your preferences and necessities! For example, I wanted a foundation that was a liquid formula with full coverage and matte finish and from the 76 recommendations that it gave me, I filtered the list down to 16, how cool is that? You can also look up your Color IQ online if you are not in-store.
I went for the Lancome “Teint Idole Ultra Wear” in the shade 320 Bisque W.

The data base tells you the exact shade for you, but still my SiJCP Education Manager took a couple more shades in the color range just to make sure I would get the perfect match. She tried 3 shades on me and guess what? The Color IQ was RIGHT!! The recommended shade was the winner and let me tell you, I think I’ve never had a shade that was that perfect of a match for me.
My SiJCP Education Manager prepared my skin with moisturizer and primer before applying the Lancome foundation and also set it with powder and setting spray. Those steps are very important for any foundation to look good and last longer. I’m used to doing all of these steps, but I was glad to have the chance to try other products that I already had an eye on and others that the Education Manager recommended for my skin type. I ended up taking a couple products that I loved home with me.

Here’s the list of PRODUCTS we tried:

fresh Lotus Youth Preserve Radiance Lotion
Fresh Rose Hydrating Eye Gel Cream
Too Faced Primed & Peachy Cooling Matte Perfecting Primer
Lancome Teint Idole Ultra Long Wear Foundation
Too Faced Peach Perfect Mattifying Loose Setting Powder
Too Faced Peach Mist Mattifying Setting Spray

No, you can go to any Sephora Inside JCPenney and get a 15-minute consultation with a Beauty Advisor to get your color match with the Color IQ technology at NO COST.

Totally! What’s better than having an expert help you choose your perfect foundation shade? It’s amazing, I will definitely come back when my summer tan fades and I need to re-match for winter days. I hope that sharing my experience will help you, and if you have any questions just let me know!

  1. It is sensible to state that a battery of a few IQ tests can give an image of inborn capacities in an individual, however no score, not by any means a lot of scores, can really evaluate that wide, indistinct thing we call intelligence.анкетирование личности
